Characteristics of trigeminal nerve pain: Nervus trigeminus is a mixed motor-sensory nerve (trigeminal nerve), with prevailing sensory fibres. It has three major branches: the ophthalmic nerve, the maxillary nerve and the mandibular nerve. Pathology may occur at any level of the trigeminal nerve, from small branches in the area of the teeth, jaws and paranasal sinuses, up to the cavernous sinus and subarachnoid space and the brainstem. Trigeminal nerve pain may be caused by a tumour-induced compression, trauma, nerve ischaemia, inflammation of the nerve and surrounding tissues, infection (herpes zoster), autoimmune and metabolic diseases, toxic effects, and others.

Trigeminal neuralgia (trigeminal nerve) develops due to involvement of the sensory component, and is classified as primary or secondary neuralgia. Management of primary neuralgia requires a pharmaceutical approach and surgical treatment, while symptomatic treatment is used for secondary neuralgia depending on the primary process.

Using magnetic therapy in trigeminal nerve pain

Due to its exceptional properties, low-frequency pulsed magnetic therapy can be used as complementary and symptomatic treatment of trigeminal nerve pain. It reduces pain, both through direct effect on the conduction of the nerve impulses and through anti-inflammatory effects. The application of magnetic therapy in trigeminal nerve pain is simple and is widely used (except for tumour-induced compression). Early and repeated daily treatment can prevent the transition to chronicity and further progression.

Application of magnetic therapy in trigeminal nerve pain

Daily application programs are used repeatedly at a range of 2-6 Hz to reduce trigeminal nerve acute pain, while in the recovery period, this treatment can be alternated with programs using a range of 50-81 Hz. A small elliptical and solenoid-type applicator is suitable.

Patented 3D Biomag pulsed therapy. How does it work?

The basic principle of 3D Biomag magnetotherapy is generating electromagnetic pulses. The generated pulses penetrate through layers of clothing and even body tissues to the place of application. These pulses have specially developed biotropic parameters (e.g. frequency, profile, intensity), thanks to which the pulsed magnetotherapy affects various health conditions.

The term pulse magnetotherapy is most commonly used for physiotherapy using the principle of electromagnetic pulses. The abbreviation PEMF is used in order to be concise.

Patented 3D Biomag technology ensures more precise and uninterrupted pulse profiles, enhances output, and allows pulses to come from various angles. This makes it a completely new and unique medical technology on the market.

The effects of pulsed therapy - clinical studies

Positive effects of pulse magnetic field (PEMF) are evidenced by clinical studies by authorities on the subject and renowned institutions. The newest list of these clinical studies can be found on this page. Contact us and we will gladly help to familiarize yourself with this expert data.

Our department uses pulse magnetic field application very well. We appreciate that not only is there an option to used numbered programmes, but also to set up our own programmes. The device is small and easy to operate with good output.

University hospital Na Bulovce, Prague – Physiotherapy department

We have been utilising pulse magnetic field treatment in our spa for more than 10 years. We use Biomag devices for both physiotherapy and spa treatment. It is very advantageous to combine magnetotherapy with other physiotherapy methods because the effect of magnetotherapy potentiates with other methods (analgesic, anti-oedematous, recovery and myorelaxing).

Bělohrad Peat Spa – Lázně Bělohrad

We are happy with the device. The applicators are also easy to operate, and treatment results are satisfying. Feedback from patients is positive. Average number of applications is 50 per week.

Masaryk hospital, Jilemnice

I used the Biomag first time for a headache with suspicious of the trigeminal nerve. The result: pain has receded.

David Jaroslav, Nový Jičín

Husband used the device for a long time to the injured trigeminal nerve damaged during dental surgery. I have successfully used after the meniscus surgery. I could walk without a crutch almost 14 days after surgery.
