Contraindications to magnetotherapy

Biomag pulsed magnet therapy devices and applicators may not be used for the contraindications listed below. If the contraindications of magnetotherapy are not respected, the health of the patient and the operator may be damaged!

  • Pregnancy
  • Pacemaker (pacemaker)
  • Bleeding conditions
  • Menstrual bleeding
  • Novotvary
  • Severe septic conditions
  • Feverish conditions
  • Active TB
  • Mycotic diseases at the application site
  • Seizure disorders of the nerves
  • Hyperfunction of the thyroid gland
  • Hyperfunction of the adrenal glands
  • Myasthenia gravis
  • Diseases of the hypothalamus and pituitary gland
  • Psychosis
  • Unknown pains
  • Unspecified diagnosis
  • Contradiction with the professionally determined treatment procedure

If you own an AL16-LUM polarized light applicator, other contraindications include:

  • Direct illumination to the eyes (applies when applying polarized light)
  • In metabolic disorders where there is photosensitization of the skin and when using photostimulants (applies when applying polarized light)

Side effects:

Particular care should be taken when administering to patients with hypotension (or a tendency to it) and hypertension.
The individual effects and use of magnetotherapy should be assessed according to the specific condition and response of each patient.

Discontinue applications in case of unexpected reactions! It is recommended to continue the application after checking by the attending physician on the basis of the procedure determined by him.
