Pain relief in patients with rheumatoid arthritis

Pain relief in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia using low-frequency pulsed magnet therapy was tested by N. M. Shupak (2006) and her research team in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled parallel study.

In 31 patients, the immediate analgesic effects of low-frequency pulsed magnetic fields were evaluated after one 30-minute application.

The results confirmed its undeniable analgesic effect despite only one short application of pulsed magnetotherapy. Patients suffering from rheumatoid arthritis immediately experienced very significant pain relief.

The therapeutic effects of low-frequency pulsed magnet therapy are therefore an ideal non-pharmacological alternative for immediate pain relief in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
