Promoting the healing of diabetic ulcers

The promotion of diabetic ulcer healing was verified by a study published in 2015 (Kwan et al.). Non-healing ulcers, in addition to being the primary reason for lower limb amputation, often result in high mortality in diabetic patients.

During the analysis of the results, a 28% increase in blood flow velocity in the skin capillaries was demonstrated in the group that underwent pulsed magnet therapy. In addition, these capillaries expanded by 14%.

In the control group (without pulsed field application), there was no increase in blood flow velocity or capillary dilation at all.

Thus, this randomized double-blind placebo-controlled study has again confirmed that pulsed magnet therapy treatment can significantly improve microcirculation and accelerate ulcer healing in diabetic patients.
