Characteristics of the Rheumatism – progressive polyarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis program: The most common rheumatic diseases affecting the joints are rheumatoid arthritis, (rheumatism), Bechterew’s disease and psoriatic arthritis. The exact cause of rheumatoid arthritis is not known, but the main damaging mechanism is non-infectious chronic joint inflammation, an autoimmune process where the immune system attacks and destroys its own tissues. It is manifested by swelling, heat, tenderness, soreness and impaired function. After some time, inflammation leads to destruction and deformation of the joint, i.e. progressive polyarthritis –rheumatism.

Rheumatism (progressive polyarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis) is a systemic chronic inflammatory disease of the connective tissues, which is characterised by inflammation of the joint structures, the formation of granulation tissue, devastation of the articular cartilage, and ligament loosening, or scarring. In severe cases of rheumatism, pathological changes in other organs may also occur. Middle-aged women are the group most frequently affected by rheumatism. Rheumatism is manifested by pain, the feeling of morning stiffness and swelling of the small joints of the hands and/or other joints in the body. The small joints of the hand, wrist and ankle joints, as well as hip and knee joints are the joints that are most frequently affected by inflammation in rheumatism.
In ankylosing spondylitis (Bechterew’s disease), it is a chronic inflammatory disease, mainly affecting the SI joint and intervertebral joints, resulting in gradual stiffening up to ankylosis of the spine.

From the therapeutical point of view, in rheumatism, the most important treatment measures are modification of the environment and lifestyle, rehabilitation, spa treatment and the administration of anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs.

Using magnetic therapy in rheumatism (progressive polyarthritis)

Progressive polyarthritis (rheumatism) is one of the main indications for Biomag low-frequency pulsed magnetic therapy. The therapy is beneficial due to its analgesic, anti-swelling, anti-inflammatory and healing effects. Magnetic therapy helps improve mobility, slows down further damage to the joints in chronic patients and provides overall pain relief.

Application of magnetic therapy in rheumatism (progressive polyarthritis)

In progressive polyarthritis (rheumatism), initially, we should preferably reduce pain using low frequencies from 4-6 Hz and once pain relief is achieved, treatment should be combined with regeneration programs at 25-50 Hz. A suitable type of applicator should be selected according to the affected location. Most frequently, we use a solenoid on small joints and a large flat or bedside applicator on the spine.

Patented 3D Biomag pulsed therapy. How does it work?

The basic principle of 3D Biomag magnetotherapy is generating electromagnetic pulses. The generated pulses penetrate through layers of clothing and even body tissues to the place of application. These pulses have specially developed biotropic parameters (e.g. frequency, profile, intensity), thanks to which the pulsed magnetotherapy affects various health conditions.

The term pulse magnetotherapy is most commonly used for physiotherapy using the principle of electromagnetic pulses. The abbreviation PEMF is used in order to be concise.

Patented 3D Biomag technology ensures more precise and uninterrupted pulse profiles, enhances output, and allows pulses to come from various angles. This makes it a completely new and unique medical technology on the market.

The effects of pulsed therapy - clinical studies

Positive effects of pulse magnetic field (PEMF) are evidenced by clinical studies by authorities on the subject and renowned institutions. The newest list of these clinical studies can be found on this page. Contact us and we will gladly help to familiarize yourself with this expert data.

Our department uses pulse magnetic field application very well. We appreciate that not only is there an option to used numbered programmes, but also to set up our own programmes. The device is small and easy to operate with good output.

University hospital Na Bulovce, Prague – Physiotherapy department

We have been utilising pulse magnetic field treatment in our spa for more than 10 years. We use Biomag devices for both physiotherapy and spa treatment. It is very advantageous to combine magnetotherapy with other physiotherapy methods because the effect of magnetotherapy potentiates with other methods (analgesic, anti-oedematous, recovery and myorelaxing).

Bělohrad Peat Spa – Lázně Bělohrad

We are happy with the device. The applicators are also easy to operate, and treatment results are satisfying. Feedback from patients is positive. Average number of applications is 50 per week.

Masaryk hospital, Jilemnice

I and my husband use the Biomag device. My husband uses the device for extremity ischemia lower limbs and after heart surgery. I use the device for joint problems: osteoporosis, arthrosis and rheumatic arthritis.

Emília Dzuráková, Bošáca

My wife used to have difficulties with her right hip and left shoulder. The pain has disappeared or has retreated considerably.

Jan Klouda, Červený Kříž

I suffered from shoulder joint inflammation in winter 2002 and I couldn't move my arm. I borrowed the Biomag device from my sister and used it twice a day in basic mode. I was totally fine after 3 weeks.
