Do your muscles get stiff? Can you feel pain and weakness in your extremities? Heavy training load or physical labour may cause muscle fatigue. Muscle fatigue is symptomized by loss of strength, speed and fine coordination. It is time to rest and regenerate.
Characteristics of Muscle Fatigue and its Causes
Muscle fatigue is symptomized by soreness of muscles after training, hard physical labour and after exertion.
It may be perceived as heaviness, weakness or pain and stiffness in the skeletal muscles. It most commonly occurs on extremities. There is loss of strength, speed and fine coordination. The fatigued muscles may tremor and spasm.
Fatigue limits other physical activity and leads to microtrauma and chronic damage if not enough time for regeneration is provided. It is important to heed this warning signal!
In cases with repeated strain to the muscles with insufficient breaks that would otherwise provide recuperation, acute pathological fatigue occurs. This may lead to a circulatory failure.
Chronic pathological fatigue may lead to reduction and atrophy of muscle fibres, which are replaced by fibrous tissue.
What leads to muscle fatigue?
Muscles need a supply of oxygen and glycogen in order to work.
When intense aerobic activity requires increased supply of oxygen and the system is unable to provide it, muscle tissue switches to the anaerobic system of energy supply. This leads to overproduction of lactic acid and development of metabolic acidosis.
Further exertion aggravates the situation. Glycogen is replaced by protein as a source of energy and insufficient oxygen supply leads to production of more lactic acid. Acidosis worsens the conditions for production and conduction of muscle potential and muscle contraction.
Muscle Fatigue Treatment – Rid yourself of the Issue
It is important to react sensibly to symptoms of muscle fatigue by decreasing training, and getting sufficient rest which is then followed by training.
Passive rest (sleep, massage, spa, sauna) is advisable in case of aerobic activity. Increased intake of saccharides is important.
In case of anaerobic activity (activity with no oxygen present in muscles) it is important to choose active rest like water exercise, or additional exercise. This will ensure faster elimination of metabolic waste.
Pain can be mitigated and muscles can be relaxed by using ointments and gels purchased in a pharmacy. Other products like magnesium or vitamin D may help, too.
3D Biomag pulsed therapy is a recommended regeneration method. It leads to immediate dilation of vessels, and increased supply of oxygen and nutrients into the targeted muscles. Furthermore, it accelerates elimination of metabolic waste while soothing pain and relaxing spasms.
Explanation of chosen terms:
- Myopathy – disease affecting skeletal muscles symptomized by weakening of the muscles.
- Delayed onset of muscle soreness (DOMS) – soreness of muscles one or two days after exertion caused by accumulation of lactic acid and damage to muscle fibres.
- Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) – disease symptomized by the feeling of absolute exhaustion with no apparent cause.
- Aerobic activity – activity or exercise which does require oxygen.
- Anaerobic activity – activity or exercise which does not require oxygen.
Patented 3D Biomag pulsed therapy. How does it work?
The basic principle of 3D Biomag magnetotherapy is generating electromagnetic pulses. The generated pulses penetrate through layers of clothing and even body tissues to the place of application. These pulses have specially developed biotropic parameters (e.g. frequency, profile, intensity), thanks to which the pulsed magnetotherapy affects various health conditions.
The term pulse magnetotherapy is most commonly used for physiotherapy using the principle of electromagnetic pulses. The abbreviation PEMF is used in order to be concise.
Patented 3D Biomag technology ensures more precise and uninterrupted pulse profiles, enhances output, and allows pulses to come from various angles. This makes it a completely new and unique medical technology on the market.
What are the benefits of therapy of Muscle Fatigue?
- Helps soothe pain.
- Creates metabolic conditions to accelerate muscle regeneration.
- Thanks to being easy to use, it can be applied at home.
- It’s a solution with no additional medicaments.
- It’s a non-invasive treatment.

The effects of pulsed therapy - clinical studies
Effects of pulse therapy (PEMF) on muscle fatigue are supported by many studies: for one, a clinical study by a team lead by Hye-Seon Jeon in Seoul, South Korea, performed on 30 university students. It shows that PEMF therapy significantly reduces the symptoms of DOMS and muscle stiffness. It follows from the published text that 3D Biomag pulsed therapy can help treat these issues. More about this scientific study.
Positive effects of pulse magnetic field (PEMF) are evidenced by clinical studies by authorities on the subject and renowned institutions. The newest list of these clinical studies can be found on this page. Contact us and we will gladly help to familiarize yourself with this expert data.
Our department uses pulse magnetic field application very well. We appreciate that not only is there an option to used numbered programmes, but also to set up our own programmes. The device is small and easy to operate with good output.
University hospital Na Bulovce, Prague – Physiotherapy department
We have been utilising pulse magnetic field treatment in our spa for more than 10 years. We use Biomag devices for both physiotherapy and spa treatment. It is very advantageous to combine magnetotherapy with other physiotherapy methods because the effect of magnetotherapy potentiates with other methods (analgesic, anti-oedematous, recovery and myorelaxing).
Bělohrad Peat Spa – Lázně Bělohrad
We are happy with the device. The applicators are also easy to operate, and treatment results are satisfying. Feedback from patients is positive. Average number of applications is 50 per week.
Masaryk hospital, Jilemnice
We use doctor prescribed drugs and we use your device for the evening. Especially with increased physical exertion during work in the garden. With fatigue growth, we are more likely to use repeat treatment cycles.Stanislav Košvanec, Křinec
I would recommend the Biomag device to athletes. In combination with other means of rehabilitation can be pulsed magnetic fields very effectively used both for prevention and for the treatment of symptoms associated with the workout.Ludmila Formanová, Čáslav
I purchased the device to relieve the calf muscle pain, which occurred with increased physical exertion. I supported the treatment by other means. My health conditions have gradually improved, the rehabilitation period was shortened and the pain has disappeared.Evžen Kraus, Doksy
